MYO & REDESIGN
RULES

MYO = Make Your Own

When working on your MYO or Redesign, you are welcome to use our Official Grabuki Base to complete your design. This base is not required, but remains available for those who may prefer it.

✦ All designs must be approved by FelixSpiritDragon or an admin. PLEASE NOTE THE GRABUKI GROUP OR POST IN THE DISCORD GRABUKI-DESIGN-APPROVAL CHANNEL FOR APPROVAL!

  • Any approval outside of the listed submission options do not count.

  • REMINDER: Private unofficial approval by a single staff member does not guarantee approval when officially submitted. This is because another staff member can easily come in and point out an issue that wasn’t caught before. When a design is officially submitted (and publicly submitted in the #design-help channel on discord), every staff member has access to the submission; we can then provide all our input to help you make any corrections that may be needed.

  • The Masterlist is updated at least once a week. Please give the staff at least 7-days before asking to or when to expect an update after submitting a design for upload.

HELPFUL RESOURCES

If you have any questions, please feel free to send the Grabuki Group a message OR join our Grabuki Discord Server for a quicker response!

GENERAL RULES

General rules apply to both MYOs and redesigns of all forms of Grabuki.

  • All designs must not be posted publicly without approval (excluding Discord Grabuki server in the correct channel).

  • There is no time limit to complete your MYO or Redesign.

  • The design should not contain any symbol/logo that represents some sort of existing religion, organization, hate symbol, etc.

  • Upon the uploading of your MYO or fresh Redesign, there is a 3-week cool down before you can redesign, sell, trade, or gift the Grabuki.

  • Another artist may design/redesign your Grabuki as long as they are aware of the rules and are aware that changes may be required upon approval.

    • During design approval & Masterlist uploading, the artist must be listed to credit them.

  • The Grabuki pose must be drawn in a position that allows staff to be able to read at least most of the design. If the pose prevents staff from reading the actual design and properly ensuring that it meets approval, the pose may need to be redrawn or additional detail shots may need to be included.

  • Minor apparel is acceptable. (Small jewelry, staff/cane, shorts, bra, etc.). Do not include apparel that represents fake traits such as fake antlers, fake saberteeth, etc.

  • Large apparel that covers a large portion of the Grabuki design will no longer be accepted unless an alternative version with minor or no apparel is provided. (Ex: Full Outfits; Tops; Pants/Long-Bottoms, Mass Jewelry Coverage such as covering the entire arm in bracelets from elbow to hand, masks, large hats, etc.)

  • All entries must have minimal to no shading. Leniency is given to match art styles of the artist, so if your art style is painted, not flat lined, that’s completely fine! All art styles are welcome, but please be careful not to add additional shine or heavy shading. Staff will grade according to what is directly seen in the reference. If there is too much shine or shading, traits that weren’t intended in the design may be added or a redesign may accidently become unrecognizable to the original design.

  • Most Grabuki have a (dark) red color blood, so blood color cannot be changed even if their flesh may be in different color.

  • If you earned any Crystal Fragments from any previous events or sale, they can be used to add additional traits to a redesign or MYO.

    • How do Crystal Fragments work:

      • Crystal Fragments are an item that allows you to apply trait upgrades to your Grabuki or MYO. Common Crystal Fragments represent 1♢ and by owning more than one, can be stacked to get traits of higher rarity. For an example, if you have six Common Crystal Fragments, you can apply a Myth or Mutation trait (6♢) to your Grabuki. If you just own one common crystal fragment, you will only be able to apply an uncommon trait (1♢). Uncommon Crystal Fragments, Rare Crystal Fragments, Haunted Crystal Fragments, etc. are all restricted to their designated trait category and cannot be stacked. As an example, if you get an Ultra Rare Crystal Fragment (3♢), you can only apply an Ultra Rare trait. These fragments cannot be stacked to get a trait of a higher rarity unlike the Common Crystal Fragments. Exclusive traits are off limits unless you own a rare Exclusive Trait capsule which can only be achieved through special events.
