"WITH MANY, WILL YOU CRAWL FROM YOUR HOLE"?
With the Snowbrute Migrating, the Weather Warming and the Cry Heard it has signaled the time for the hidden subspecies of the Invertebrute Grabuki to Crawl Out from the Underground and join the ranks of the upper world.

INTRODUCTION
Invertebrute Grabuki, as their name suggests, are a subspecies that closely resemble Arthropods, aka Insects. They are a more physically unique subspecies compared to their regular Grabuki and Snowbrute sub-siblings, bodies formed segmented with an insect-like appearance or even sometimes with an insect-like advantage (such as stinger tails or injecting mandibles). Invertebrute form this way through their more unique Rebirthing Process (see below), where their energy and information is taken from insects they have primarily consumed in their previous life, using it to grow into their new bodies.
This divides most Invertebrute into Two Main Body Categories:
- SOFT BODIED -
![image.png](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/855a8c_deba916e98db413ca3e2e6effc23453b~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_340,h_409,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/855a8c_deba916e98db413ca3e2e6effc23453b~mv2.png)
Encompassing insects with a lack of a hard exterior, such as Butterflies, Moths, Bees, Lacewings, Caterpillars, Larva, Flies, Termites, Tarantulas, etc.
- HARD BODIED -

Encompassing insects with hard outer shells, such as Beetles, Scorpions, Locusts, Centipedes, Mantids, etc.

These different bodies affect Invertebrute Physically but also in their Traits, leading to Invertebrute Grabuki having their own unique traits (such as segmentation and wing tails) as well as the Invertebrute subtypes having different rarities depending on their traits aswell.
For example, Hard Bodied Invertebrute have chitin as a common trait, while Soft Bodied Invertebrute instead have glowing markings as a common trait. The full list of common traits for the Invertebrute species can be seen in the Grabuki Trait List, under the Invertebrute Tab.

Can Invertebrute go into a Parasitic Mode?
No. But they have what is called:
METAMORPHIC FRENZY

APPEARANCE
As mentioned, Invertebrute Grabuki vary from other Grabuki in many unique ways, but one overlooked feature is often their size. While other Grabuki can commonly be between 4-7 feet, Invertebrute are locked at 6 feet max and under, due to the energy used when developing their Pupa and Bodies.
The second obvious appearance change is their insect-like features. Primarily, all Invertebrute must have some form of Insect-like tail, mimicking an insects Abdomen, which gives them the ability of what insect they mimic

Alongside the tail, Invertebrute must have Segmentation along their joints, and at least one form of mouth mutation.
![Invertebrute Mouth Mutation](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/855a8c_45d83eb696964f22b6ed7771d2f96fda~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_600,h_637,al_c,q_90,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/Invertebrute%20Mouth%20Mutation.png)
Mouth Mutations are an evolved self defense mechanism, especially with the Invertebrutes lack of major Parasite Mode, either able to have Mouth Splits to bite with, Mandibles to tear or inject with or even an Offensive Tongue to lash out and stab with.
-
Mouth Splits are divisions in either the Upper or Lower jaw, allowing for a range of attack and self defense.
-
Bottom Split divides the jaw in half, allowing it to open wide, making their maw appear large to scare off predators, also allowing them to retract their tongue and push their teeth forward, while Top Split divides their skull in half, and much like the bottom split, allowing it to open and scare off predators or attack.
-
Mandibles are pincers commonly seen on insects, found along the sides of an Invertebrutes mouth. They vary in appearance and size and are usually based on what Insect the Grabuki is, often aiding in grasping and tearing apart food or enemies during fights.
But Mandibles can take on an additional, more unique property, such as a Spider Invertebrute’s Mandibles being able to inject poison, or Beetle/Ant Mandibles being able to have intense gripping strength. However the Invertebrute can only possess this feature if they are based on such insects. So a Butterfly with Beetle-like mandibles could not possess crushing strength, and a Beetle with Spider-like mandibles could not inject poison.
The only exception is a Dual Hosting Invertebrute, which is a Mutation Trait (more information below).

Tongue mutation and their feature/weapon depend on the main host.
![Invertebrute Wings.png](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/855a8c_eb9a7d4c324148199d911d8c2bcc3fc7~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_655,h_693,al_c,q_90,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/Invertebrute%20Wings.png)
Wings are an optional addition and are only found on an Invertebrute if the insect they are based on had wings. These wings form on their tails rather than their backs and are not capable of flight.

While most Grabuki only have a singular host animal they kill and take over to form their body, the Snowbrute similarly taking over their host creature to specifically aid in the winter weather with its fat and fur, the pelt becoming their hoods, rarely gaining the trait of having an extra face but still having one main host.
Invertebrute are different, in that their self sustained Renewal process allows them to have a more unusual appearance compared to the other Grabuki species, with a rare chance of gaining properties of another Insect, or rarely, if consuming enough of a variety of insects, absorbing their matter, coding and energy, can have the properties of Two Invertebrates in One.
This Dual Hosting gives the Invertebrute Grabuki the appearance and adaptations of two insect hosts, such as an Invertebrute taking from both Moths and Centipedes having a long centipede tail with moth wings growing from it, or venomous mandibles with moth antenna, or a different pair such as having traits from both butterflies and scorpions, a butterfly like tongue and wings with a scorpion tail.
It can vary based on how one wants it to be, this giving Dual Hosted Invertebrute extra advantages most other Invertebrute don't have, even mixing between Soft and Hard bodied insects. An example; two natural traits of two different insects, such as sensing vibrations like a scorpion or being able to smell pheromones from miles away, mixing the abdomen appearances, etc.
It's been theorized some Invertebrute can even Triple Host, carrying three different invertebrates in one, but there has been no documented cases among Invertebrutes… who knows..
